Java Jog

The Java Jog was fun; however I never jogged. I didn't do as well as I thought I would, even after not running since Wednesday (thought I'd be well rested) thought wrong.

On 2 Aug 09 I ran this distance in close to the same time after running 7 miles and 11 miles the day before. So much for resting.

If I would've kept the pace from my first mile it would've been a strong run. Did I mention that two little kids passed me. This gave me the impression I was running slow until I looked at my GPS. When they passed me I was running a 6:48mm. For a couple kids that looked about 12yr's old or younger they are strong runners or had wheels in their shoes? I highly doubt they had wheels they were running like someone from the IRS was behind them!

"In running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. You can say, 'I have finished.' There is a lot of satisfaction in that."

You've got to have goals Fred; my goal was to finish in less than 21 minutes. it's not enough for me to just finish a run around the block!
